I can’t believe I never posted about this!! Bad blogger! Ooof and a horrible speller… I had to edit the title after originally posting! How the heck do you spell mustache!? The logo says MOUSTACHE but my computer tells me that’s wrong! Help me in the comments!
A week after the Turkey Trek, I did the Moustache Must Dash. It was 5k benefiting Movember (which, just in case you don’t know, is all about changing the face of men’s health). It was put on by a fellow 2014 3W Ambassador, Dave, who also owns a gym/bootcamp business, Fit Soldiers, in Thornton, CO.
I’ll keep this pretty short. It was a fun race for sure! Lots of my friends were there. It was put on very well and the “swag” was pretty amazing.

Probably the best packet ever! T-shirt, snow-muff (keeps your face warm or over your ears or as a headband), cereal, snacks, advil, note pad (currently using for my bootcamp workouts), and that’s all I think!
A couple of days before the race, I visited Dave’s gym to pick up my packet and also to see a fellow fitness professional’s facility! It was pretty sweet! If you live in the area, I highly recommend finding out more information! Click here to visit his website.
Anyway, I didn’t plan on racing, I just want to support Dave, support the cause and get out of the house. This was also before I was a 3W employee and I had to skirt out of there quickly to make it to one of my silly jobs.
Being the Mustache Must Dash, I donned a mustache and started the race! It was a fun run through the neighborhoods.
I can’t recall all the details, but I do remember seeing the 2 mile mark a feeling like it should have been over by then. I did also have a lot of beers the night before. The last mile wound around the park, a big loop where you could see the finish line the whole time but still had a mile left to go…..such a cruel tease!
I didn’t place, I didn’t PR, I just had fun! I’ll leave you with a ton a pictures….
You should be Mario for halloween
hahaha I’ll keep that in mind!
